Unforgettable Moment

Last year I and my family went to Kaliurang….

Kaliurang is a recreation place, its about 28 km from north of Yogyakarta

I went to Kaliurang because I read on the internet there is an amazing off-road  trip. At that time I and my family was on vacation at grandma's house which is located in Yogyakarta, so I asked to my parents to go there, my parents agreed with me and we went to Kaliurang at the next day.
I went to Kaliurang at the morning, Located 900 meters above sea level, its makes the air cool and fresh. The temperature ranges from 20 until 25 degrees Celsius, the weather is very cold, so we must to wear our jacket. The entrance fee to the Kaliurang are Rp 2,000 for adults and Rp 1,000 for children. On holidays Rp 3000 to Rp 1500 for adults and children. For vehicles are also charged an entrance fee of Rp. 500 for the motorcycle, Rp. 2000 for the car and 3000 for bus or truck. At that time we went by a car.

Like I was said before, there is an amazing off-road trip, named “Lava Tour”. Lava Tour entertain visitors with a view after the eruption of Merapi in the affected region, Kali Kuning, bunker at Kaliadem, people house affected “Wedhus Gembel” is then converted into a museum, Kinahrejo village (village of Mbah Maridjan). We got around this place with offroad car because the terrain is very steep, muddy, and the way is too narrow.

The journey started, after about 5 minutes we stopped at “Museum Sisa Hartaku”, when I entered. I was really shock because there is so many goods, even the animals skeleton that melt, because off Mount Merapi’s lava. I was really sad at that time:(. After that we continued our journey to the bunker, the bunker should be used to protect people who’s inside the bunker from the lava, but because the eruption is too strong, the lava got inside the bunker, and all people at the bunker died, may they rest in peace.

At the end of the trip, we stopped at unique stone, why I say that stone is unique? Because the stone shape is different with other stone at that place. According local people information, the stone was thrown from the crater of Mount Merapi, when it was eruption. After that our journey was finally ended. I really enjoyed that trip, so do my family
.

I think it is unforgettable moment for me, wish I have more experience and I can share to you again

Thanks for reading my blog, don’t forget to say “hai”:)
